official “obsession” ::

the more i talk with clients and friends, the more i find that people are simply trying create a unique, comfortable living environment for their families, but don’t want to spend a small fortune to do it!  i absolutely love the challenge my clients bring to me … personalize their space in a timeless yet trendy fashion, and do it on a budget!  thrifting is really becoming popular, and i can understand why – it allows people to finish their spaces and have fun while doing it {i mean, if you purchased a thrifted chair and painted it turquoise, you can enjoy it now, but it’s no loss a few years from now when turquoise is no longer trendy}.  more and more, i find my car inexplicably parking at garage sales or local thrift stores, and i have no trouble stepping inside … it’s incredible the treasures you can find in only a few minutes!

like these huge 34″ square framed prints i picked up for $14.99 each!  the prints and mats will definitely be removed, and i haven’t decided whether to paint the frames.  the possibilities for these frames are endless … fabric covered cork board, or possibly foam core with the glass and accent fabric.  they may just end up in an office remodel that i’m currently working on!  the prints are nice enough that they may find another life themselves!

after a little clean-up, this tall eggplant colored glass vase may easily find a new home in the great room of a client whose room remodel features this color, or it may even get a few coats of gray spray paint for a drastic transformation to be used in a different space!

these frames will also get a new life with a few coats of bright fushia, orange, yellow, or turquoise gloss spray paint, and will be filled with ….

… these beautiful papers scored on last weekend’s trip to k.c. {PaperSource on the Plaza}!  they’re perfect to bring a burst of color into any home for summer, and will be available for sale in the nicole odette designs studio next week!  and my favorite find of the week?  a clean-lined, rich espresso stained wall table that i spotted at a consignment shop – it may just find its way home with me over the weekend!
